Liquid State Cloud is our flagship app creation product. This cloud-based dashboard enables app creation, content management and user engagement. So our team wanted to provide a quick guide of Liquid State Cloud’s features and capabilities.
Liquid State Cloud is flexible and intuitive as it includes an easy to use drag and drop interface. Users are guided through the app creation process with inbuilt help tips and live Liquid State support chat. The dashboard also includes a demo app so you can familiarise yourself with the system and app structure.
Furthermore, you are able to collaborate with colleagues by leaving notes, assigning tasks and creating a company account. Ultimately, Liquid State Cloud allows you to build custom cross-platform apps for your business, clients or yourself. Creating an app in Liquid State Cloud can be conceptualised in three categories, App Creation, Content Management and User Engagement.
1. App Creation
Creating your app with Liquid State Cloud is a relatively easy and well-guided process. It can be useful to think of your app as the case that holds your issues or documents. So this is usually a good place to start.
Configuring & Building an App
Liquid State specialise in cross-platform app creation. Therefore, apps you create with Liquid State Cloud can be configured for Apple and Android devices including mobile, tablet and desktop. Configuring your app involves inputting and uploading relevant information through a guided process. Read our blog post to find out how to configure and build your app.
User Login
Private apps built with Liquid State Cloud require app users to register and sign in before accessing the app’s content. A private app’s registered users are displayed in the users list with their name, username and a link to their profile. Whereas, public apps allow anyone who has installed your app on their device to access all published documents.
2. Content Management
Liquid State Cloud supports a wide variety of content types. So, you’re able to publish and update a variety of import types as well as categorise documents.
Import Types
Liquid State Cloud allows you to upload documents or pages to be included in your app. This system supports a large range of source documents to allow you to create engaging app content. The three categories of import types include:
- Basic: PDF, PowerPoint & Word Document
- Native: InDesign Extension & Page Designer
- Advanced: HTML & In5
So there is an import type for nearly every level of technical experience. Read our blog post to find out how to import content to Liquid State Cloud.
Categories
You’re also able to organise documents into categories to allow users to access the content they need. This is an optional feature as you’re able to save a document to multiple categories. Document Categories let you organise your published documents and easily distribute sets of documents to particular App Users or App User Groups.
Updating Content
Updating documents within your app is simple with Liquid State Cloud. You don’t have to build and submit a new version of your app in order to publish changes within your downloadable content. Simply import that latest content and publish the new version to your app.
3. User Engagement
Once your app is built and your content is shared with your audience, you will need to monitor user engagement.
Push Notifications
A great way to let a user know about your latest content is through push notifications. Push notifications allow you to share targeted communications with app users. Push notifications are short messages sent directly to your users’ devices. The Liquid State system allows you to send push notifications to one, or all, platforms within just a few clicks.
Basic Analytics
Apps created with Liquid State have in-built basic analytics for you to track the reach and engagement of your content. Basic analytics allow you to monitor app usage as well as documents & pages with the data presented as a variety of interactive graphs, tables and lists. Read our blog post to find out more on basic analytics with Liquid State Cloud.
Upgrade to Enterprise Ubiquity
Your Liquid State Cloud dashboard can also be upgraded to an Enterprise Ubiquity dashboard if you require advanced features, custom integrations and more.
